| 英文描述 | Aspiration pneumonia can occur in any animal, particularly following drenching or inadvertant placement of a tube into the trachea in large animals. Patients with reduced levels of consciousness such as that seen during anesthesia, seizures and metabolic diseases such as milk fever in cattle are at risk. Mineral oil can be aspirated by cats given oil as a laxative. Inhalation of a foreign body such as plant material or hair may also cause pneumonia, particularly in hunting or working dogs. |
