| 英文描述 | Metritis can occur in sows post partum. Epizootics of endometritis have been seen in both bred and virgin gilts, typically ones that have recently commenced cycling after transport or exposure to a boar. Vulval discharge is most commonly observed within 6 days prior to estrus when gilts are in proestrus. A variety of bacterial agents can be cultured, and this syndrome probably reflects hormonal predispositon to infection rather than virulence of the bacteria. Diagnose by signs. |
