| 英文描述 | Atlantoaxial subluxation or occipitoatlantoaxial malformation can cause neurologic disease. Signs usually develop in young animals, but onset can be in later life. Luxation of the joint might be palpable on movement of the head, but patients should be handled with care to prevent injury. In rare cases of acute injury there can be hemorrhage and edema of the medulla, causing signs of brain stem disease. |
