| 英文描述 | Most of the piglets in a litter died when 16 days to 24 days old. Post mortem examination showed extensive petechial hemorrhages, which led to suspicion that they had died due to hog cholera. Pestiviruses isolated from both dead and live piglets appeared to be bovine viral diarrhea virus. Post natal infection of pigs with ruminant pestiviruses does not produce clinical signs, but congenital infections might produce illness and persistently infected piglets; abortion has been reported as well. Dx by viral isolation and titers; hog cholera must be ruled out. |
