| 英文描述 | Persistence of the right aortic arch, a congenital anomaly, causes the ductus arteriosis passing from the aorta to the pulmonary artery to enclose the esophagus in a vascular ring, compressing it against the trachea. The main clinical sign is dysphagia, often followed by secondary inhalation pneumonia. Although clinical signs usually become evident at the time of weaning, and almost all affected dogs are diagnosed before 2 years of age, dogs have been seen with this disease in which development of signs occurred at a more advanced age. Dx by contrast radiography of the esophagus, aortography, and surgery or necropsy. |
