| 英文描述 | Accidental injury from rope, wire or falls is common in animals. Signs can range from severe to mild. Dx by signs and history. Rope and wire can wrap around the foot and lead to sloughing of the foot. Wire can remain buried deep in the lesion, and be difficult to detect. A collar placed on a young, growing animal can cause stricture of the neck with sloughing of the skin as the animal grows; there is a narrow and deep lesion that encircles the neck. The prognosis is generally good after removal of the collar. |
