| 英文描述 | Outbreaks of vesicular diseases in pigs for which no cause could be found have been reported from the U.S., New Zealand and Australia. These diseases could not be distinguished from Foot and Mouth disease clinically, and diagnosis rests on eliminating the known viral causes of vesicular disease. Dx is made be regulatory veterinarians. When leaves of parsnips (PASTINACA SATIVA) or celery (APIUM GRAVEOLENS) infected with the fungus SCLEROTINIA SCLEROTIORUM were fed to or rubbed onto the snouts and feet of white-skinned pigs and the pigs then exposed to UV light, similar lesions were created. This mechanism might explain some of these outbreaks. There is no specific treatment, although removal from suspect plants would be indicated. |
