| 英文描述 | Hereditary dwarfism in the pig is very rare, with just 1 report. Affected pigs developed signs at 3 weeks of age, when shortening of the limbs became apparent. Breeding trials were consistent with a recessive inheritance. Dx by examination of bone growth plates radiographically and at necropsy. Despite shortening of the long bones, the head and axial skeleton appear normal. |
