| 英文描述 | Gastric ulceration is very common in growing swine. Some pigs can develop clinical signs or die suddenly, but subclinical ulcers appear to have no effect on the rate of gain of pigs. Cause is probably multifactorial. Antemortem dx difficult. Vomiting blood considered almost pathognomonic though, and melena also strong clue. Most diagnosed at necropsy; the dead pig is often pale but in good condition, with the stomach lumen filled with clotted blood. Fever may be seen if ulcer perforates. |
