| 英文描述 | Hog Cholera (a.k.a Classical Swine Fever) is a highly-contagious, multisystemic, hemorrhagic, viral disease of swine caused by a PESTIVIRUS. Although the disease has been eradicated from the U.S. it is still important worldwide. There can be acute disease, chronic infection, 'carrier sow syndrome' with congenital infection of piglets, or 'late onset' hog cholera in piglets infected in utero. Leucopenia is present in the early stages. In addition, ruminant-type pestiviruses resembling the viruses of bovine viral diarrhea and ovine border disease have been associated with disease in pigs similar to that observed with low-virulence strains of classical hog cholera virus. |
