| 英文描述 | Daily oral doses of 50,000-70,000 I.U./Kg of vitamin D led to signs of toxicity on swine. Field cases of vitamin D toxicosis due to accidental inclusion of large amounts of the vitamin in feed have been seen. Dx by dietary analysis, and analysis of serum for vitamin D or one of its metabolites if feed is not available. Blood calcium levels are sometimes elevated, and there is tissue mineralization at necropsy in some cases. |
