| 英文描述 | Lipin bean varieties, especially LUPINUS ALBUS, have been used as protein sources in pig diets. Toxicosis resulting from the use of hexane-extracted lupin bean meal was reported. Feed refusal was an initial sign, but pigs that ate the feed developed other clinical signs, including signs of intestinal stasis. The exact cause of the signs is unknown. Feed refusal, abdominal distention and reduced weight gains were experimentally reproduced. Most of the signs are reversible if animals are switched to another protein supplement after a short period. |
