| 英文描述 | Acute injection or ingestion of large amounts of selenium can lead to sudden death with respiratory distress. Chronic ingestion of greater than 5 ppm Se leads to skin lesions and sloughing of the hooves. Focal symmetrical poliomyelomalacia due to selenium toxicity has been described, and occurs in pigs fed excessive Se in the diet. The neurologic form might be seen without other signs of toxicosis. Dx by dietary and tissue Se analysis. |
