| 英文描述 | Use of phosphate containing enemas in cats is contraindicated, and causes hypocalcemia, hyperphosphatemia and hypernatremia within 20 minutes of their use. Cats which have been obstipated for some time are at higher risk, as they may be dehydrated and have preexisting electrolyte imbalances. There is also a report of toxicity associated with administration of phosphate-containing urinary acidifier. Dx by history. Treat by fluid therapy with electrolyte poor solutions. Isotonic saline should be avoided. |
