| 英文描述 | This is a primary conjunctivitis and secondary keratitis that occurs in the neonate prior to opening of the eyelids. Common causes are STAPHYLOCCUS spp. in the dog and rhinotracheitis virus in the cat. May be contacted in utero or postnatally. Signs evident at 2-3 days of age. May progress to cause corneal ulceration and scarring, symblepharon, endophthalmitis, panoph- thalmitis, or phthisis bulbi. Dx by signs, age. |
