| 中文描述 | 得文捲毛貓會形成遺傳性先天肌肉疾病,是一種症候群由貓來源的,稱之為麻痺.普遍症狀是被動的頭和頸部的腹側彎曲,肩胛背側突出,巨食道症,全身性虛弱和疲勞.症狀開始於三週到六月齡,並且通常以起始後越發嚴重,但是症狀稍晚後會變慢慢的停滯於某一嚴重程度的狀態.由於喉頭阻塞或咽部塞住食物會有猝死發生.血液肌肉來源的酵素不會提升,但組織學檢查肌肉顯示為主要肌肉病變的指標. |

| 英文描述 | Devon rex cats can develop an inherited congenital muscle disease, a syndrome termed 'spasticity' by cat breeders. Common signs are passive ventroflexion of the head and neck, dorsal protrusion of the scapulae, megaesophagus, generalized weakness and fatigue. Signs start at 3 weeks to 6 months of age and are usually initially progressive, but signs later become slowly progressive or static. There can be sudden death due to obstruction of the larynx or pharynx with food. Serum enzymes of muscle origin are not elevated, but histologic examination of muscle shows changes indicative of a primary myopathy. |
