| 英文描述 | Cats fed a diet deficient in taurine developed progressive bilateral retinal degeneration. Lesions are areas of hyperreflectivity that may have a pigmented border and are centrally occurring. These may lead to generalized retinal degeneration, decreased retinal blood supply and blindness. Dx by dietary analysis. Supplementation of cat food with taurine has led to an apparent decline in the incidence of this disease. |
