| 英文描述 | Osteopetrosis is a condition in which there is generalized increased bone density. There are rare reports of dogs which developed progressive myelophthistic anemia due to osteopetrosis, and this can be fatal. There is also a report of this condition in two cats. One was anemic and one had no clinical abnormalities. There may be pancytopenia on blood examination and because of the reduced marrow cavities it may be difficult or impossible to do a bone marrow tap. Radiographs show generalized increase in bone density. |
