| 中文描述 | 口舔造成的四肢端皮膚炎是一種心理上的強烈慾望想去舔較低的四肢前端部分.無聊可能是主要的原因.這情形常出現在具有大量活動力的狗身上,因為一整天的多數時間裡祂們被獨自留在家裡.大多都是發生在中等年紀的公狗身上,而且傷害通常都是單一的.診斷是藉由臨床檢查,以及仔細的病史.這疾病也可能在其他的部位發生傷害,若是慢性的損害發生在關節上則可能會出現關節炎及關節黏連的病症.這病在貓的身上也有發生過. |

| 英文描述 | Acral lick dermatitis is a psychogenic urge to lick the lower anterior portion of the leg. Boredom may be a major cause. It is often seen in large active breed dogs that are left alone most of the day. Lesion is usually single, and occurs more frequently in middle age male dogs. Dx is made on the basis of clinical exam and a careful history. May be seen in other areas of the body. Chronic lesions over a joint may cause arthritis or ankylosis. Has also been reported in cats. |
