| 英文描述 | Trichoepithelioma is a benign neoplasm arising from keratinocytes of the hair follicle root sheath, hair matrix, or both. It is common in middle age or older dogs, with a predilection for the back. It is rare in cats, but may be seen in older cats esp. on the head. Tumors are very rarely invasive or metastatic. May be pigmented, and become secondarily infected with rapid inflammation in and around the tumor mimicking growth. Tricholemmoma is a rare benign epithelial neoplasm derived from the outer root sheath of the hair follicle in dogs. Trichofolliculomas are rare benign hamartomas of the pilosebaceous unit in dogs. Dx by histopathology. |
