| 英文描述 | Cerebellar abiotrophy with progressive loss of cerebellar function has been reported in several breeds of dogs. A genetic basis for this condition has been established or proposed in many breeds. Normal at birth; onset of signs usually at a young age. Signs start as pelvic limb stiffness and mild head tremor progressing to a dysmetric, spastic gait including thoracic limbs. Coordination is so impaired that linear mobility is difficult, and eventually the dog cannot stand without support. Dx depends on breed, signs, and necropsy. There is no treatment. Cerebellar abiotrophy was also described in cats and might be hereditary in some cases. |
