| 英文描述 | Factor IX deficiency is a severe clotting factor disorder seen in Shorthair cats and many breeds of dogs. It is inherited as an X-linked recessive, and affects males almost exclusively, with females as asymptomatic carriers. Clinical signs are often severe, and can be life threatening. Dx by a coagulation profile to identify the missing factor. Bleeding into the spinal cord was suspected as a cause of tetraplegia in one case. |
