| 英文描述 | In right to left patent ductus arteriosus pulmonary vascular resistance remains high and pulmonary arterial pressure exceeds aortic pressure, with shunting of blood from the pulmonary artery to the aorta. Oxygenated blood goes to the cranial body, a mixture to the caudal half. Might not be noticed until 1-5 years of age when the complaint is often weakness and collapse on exercise. Cyanosis can be evident on the caudal half of the animal, in such areas as the vulva, prepuce, and nail beds of the hind feet. A murmur is often not heard. There might be associated polycythemia. |
