| 英文描述 | Xanthoma is a benign granulomatous lesion which may be associated with abnormal concentration or composition of plasma lipids. Rare in the dog or cat. Lesions consist of erythematous papules and mildly painful nodules that may coalesce to plaques. It has been reported concurrent with diabetes mellitus in both the dog and cat, and in familial hyperchylomicronemia and following megestrol treatment in cats. Dx by signs, rule-out other causes, and biopsy. |
