| 英文描述 | This is a rare naturally occuring generalized alopecia. Some affected cats are being selected as new breeds (Sphinx, Canadian Hairless). Secondary hair may be present but is easily epilated. Smooth hairless skin is greasy. Can be inherited. On histology there is an absence of primary hair follicles and hyperplastic changes in the epidermis. There is no treatment. Progressive hair loss, with complete loss in affected areas, associated with lymphocytic infiltration of hair bulbs was described in a 3-year-old Percheron mare. A diagnosis of alopecia universalis was made; there is no specific treatment, but some regrowth of hair occurred. |
