| 英文描述 | Cats in California have developed a transient fever and depression of unknown etiology. Is most common in the late summer months, affects mainly adults, and occurs sporadically. Signs generally last for 5-10 days and the prognosis is excellent. Laboratory test results are generally normal. This syndrome was transmitted to experimental cats by inoculation of blood from a diseased cat, and at necropsy the experimental animals had myocarditis and diaphragmitis. A viral cause is suspected (Pedersen et al.). |
