| 英文描述 | A unique syndrome of lymphadenopathy associated with plexiform vascularization of lymph nodes was reported in a series of 3-14 year old cats. The prognosis for affected animals appears to be good, and this may be common, as it represented over 5 per cent of surgical biopsies of cat lymph nodes over a 5 year period in a British laboratory. The histological lesion consists of vascular proliferation which is accompanied by lymphoid atrophy. The lesions are usually focal within the nodes, but may occasionally involve more of the lymph node substance. The cause is unknown. This relatively common (at least in Britain) and benign condition is diagnosed by biopsy. In a few cases lesions on the external abdomen were misdiagnosed as mammary neoplasia prior to biopsy. An affected retropharyngeal lymph node caused respiratory distress. |
