| 英文描述 | Feline herpesviral rhinotracheitis, caused by feline herpesvirus-1 (FHV-1), is an upper respiratory disease in cats, and is a major problem where cats have been brought together. Most severe in young kittens, where the mortality can be high. Generalized infection of newborn kittens which are weak at birth or found dead has been reported. Dx by viral isolation. Herpesvirus is also a common cause of conjunctivitis and keratitis, and this may occur prior to opening of the eyes, trapping purulent debris under the lids. A syndrome of vesicular, crusted and ulcerated lesions on the nasal planum or haired skin (particularly of the face) has been associated with herpesvirus in cats; there are epithelial cell necrosis, eosinophilic inflammation, and intraepithelial herpesvirus inclusion bodies. |
