| 英文描述 | Domestic shorthair cats had signs of depression and neck weakness associated with hypernatremia (serum sodium over 182 mEq/L on addmission). Despite the high sodium level, the cats drank very little water. Treatment consisted of a low-sodium diet to which water was added in excess of maintainance needs. A syndrome resembling hypodipsic hypernatremia was suspected. Muscle strength returned to normal when sodium levels were corrected. |
