| 中文描述 | 小貓的神經軸突營養失調症會出現背部中樞神經的的軸突腫大.正常的小貓在出生後即開始發展漸進性的神經缺陷.此病是起因於先天的隱性體染色體,其與毛皮的顏色異常有關,被感染的動物顏色會像淡紫色的暹羅貓儘管littermates是黑色的.患有神經軸突營養失調症的貓也有出現顏色是正常的. |

| 英文描述 | Neuroaxonal dystrophy in kittens is characterized by swelling of the distal segments of axons (spheroids) within the central nervous system (Carmichael et al.). Kittens are normal for an initial postnatal period then develop progressive neurologic deficits. In a subset of this disease inherited as an autosomal recessive trait there is an associated coat color abnormality, with affected animals colored like the 'lilac' Siamese, while littermates are black. Neuroaxonal dystrophy has also been reported in cats with normal coat color (Carmichael et al.). |
