| 英文描述 | Cataracts in the horse can be classified as mature complete cortical, nuclear, suture line, and those associated with persistent hyaloid vasculature, with the latter two usually small with a minimal effect on vision. The cause may be heredity or other agents. Aniridia and cataracts (developing at about 2 months of age) are inherited as an autosomal dominant in Belgians and have been described in Quarter Horses and Thoroughbreds. Congenital nuclear cataracts that are nonprogressive, bilateral, and do not cause blindness have been described in Morgan Horses. |
