| 英文描述 | Testicular tumors are uncommon in large animals. In horses many are teratomas. There is firm painless swelling of the testis, with a progressive increase in size, although tumors can also occur in a retained abdominal testis of a cryptorchid horse. Dx by aspiration or excision biopsy. The more rare tumors such as seminomas, Sertoli cell tumors, and interstitial cell tumor can be associated with behavior changes or infertility. When the tumor occurs in a retained testicle, it might be detected on rectal exam. Can occasionally metastasize to other areas including the lungs. |
