| 中文描述 | 因為肝醣支鏈酵素缺乏，所以此疾病是一種肝醣儲存的疾病，此並已經在初生的夸特馬及胎兒中被報告過。大量的球形或是卵圓形的包涵體出現在多個組織中，藉由組織學檢驗確定為一種肌病，在此包涵體中發現大量的支鏈澱粉。在某些有此疾病的動物中，也可能在舌頭或是骨骼肌中出現包涵體結晶。動物會因此漸漸虛弱，大部分有此症狀的動物都會死，通常會在6週齡時給予安樂死的處理。 |

| 英文描述 | Glycogen storage disease due to glycogen branching enzyme deficiency has been reported in fetal and neonatal Quarter Horses. Large spherical or ovoid inclusions were present in a wide variety of tissues, and there was histologic evidence of myopathy. It was concluded that these inclusions contained amylopectin. In some affected animals there were also crystalline inclusions in skeletal muscle and tongue. There is progressive weakness, and affected foals usually die or are euthanized by 6 weeks of age. |
