| 英文描述 | Horses and ponies developed upper airway obstruction due to collapse of the roof of the nasopharynx during exercise. The animals made an unusual late inspiratory snoring noise at moderate trotting speeds. Endoscopy performed when the animals were exercised on a treadmill showed that as speed was increased there was collapse of the roof and walls of the nasopharynx into the luman of the nasopharynx; in one case, at a treadmill speed of 8 m/sec the lumen was nearly obliterated. There was no visible abnormality at rest in some cases, but in a pony clinical signs progressed until signs were occasionally seen at rest. |
