| 英文描述 | Polyneuritis equi is characterized by chronic granulomatous inflammation of the extradural nerve roots of many peripheral nerves. There is an apparent predisposition for the extradural nerve roots of the cauda equina, but cranial nerves are commonly affected, particularly (but not limited to) nerves V, VII, and VIII. Tends to be in older horses, 17 months the youngest age of a reported case. Progressive, signs can be asymmetrical. There is no specific diagnostic test; dx by clinical signs and ruling out other causes. CSF usually shows leucocytosis and elevated protein. |
