| 英文描述 | Gastric ulcers are common in asymptomatic foals and performance horses but gastric and/or duodenal ulceration is also becoming a clinically important disease. Foals with gastric lesions might lie in dorsal recumbency for long periods. When perforation leads to peritonitis, dyspnea seems to be a major sign perhaps due to pain, and deterioration is rapid. Sudden death due to gastric bleeding occurs rarely. Gastric or duodenal obstruction due to strictures might accompany or follow ulceration. |
