| 英文描述 | Foals were described which had a diseases similar to necrotizing enterocolitis in human infants. This disease is due to ischemia of the bowel wall followed by bacterial colonization of the wall. The diagnosis is made radiographically by the presence of intramural bowel gas (pneumatosis intestinalis). May be followed by perforation of a bowel. |
