| 中文描述 | 喉部半癱瘓是最常見的現象於上呼吸道不全.由於肌肉麻痺是由返回喉神經所支配.百分之90到95發生在左側.會和喉囊損傷有關,或是不明原因的.通常在較大的輕型馬發生.藉由內視鏡診斷.一準確診斷需要檢驗運動前和運動後.少數案例有右側半癱瘓,由於喉軟骨創傷或先天異常有被報導. |

| 英文描述 | Laryngeal hemiplegia is the most common cause of upper respiratory unsoundness. Due to paralysis of the muscles innervated by the recurrent laryngeal nerve. 90-95% on left side. Can be associated with guttural pouch lesions, injections, or be idiopathic. Usually in larger light horses. Dx by endoscopy. An accurate diagnosis requires examination before and after exercise. Occasional cases of right sided hemiplegia due to trauma or congenital anomalies of the laryngeal cartilage are reported. |
