| 英文描述 | Three foals produced by the same mare and sired by different stallions developed a self-limiting neurological syndrome that was expressed after birth and resolved with time. Signs of incoordination, severe enough to cause recumbency in 1 foal, developed at 2-5 days of age. Signs resolved over the following weeks, with 2 months required for resolution of signs in one foal. Diazepam was used to sedate affected foals. The cause is unknown, but there appears to be total resolution of this syndrome and euthanasia should not be considered (Mayhew and Schneiders). |
