| 英文描述 | Mastitis in mares can occur at any stage of lactation including non-suckling mares of fillies, but appears to be most common following weaning. Dx by clinical signs and culture. Early discomfort might mimic colic or hind limb lameness. Usually due to STREPTOCOCCUS, but many other organisms have been cultured, and in rare cases rhabditoid nematodes have caused mastitis. |
