| 英文描述 | Some mares have abnormal vulvar conformation which leads to filling of the vagina with air and secondary metritis. This can lead to chronic infertility. Dx by history of air being sucked into the vagina, air in the vagina on palpation and response to suturing the vulva. Eosinophils can sometimes be found in uterine biopsy and cytology specimens from mares with pneumouterus. |
