| 英文描述 | Some foals seem to actively consume large amounts of sand and dirt, and ingestion of significant amounts is associated with diarrhea. Diagnose by exclusion of other causes and demonstration of large amounts of sand in aqueous suspensions of the stool, although there are reports of horses with radiographic evidence of sand in the GI tract but little sand in the feces. Sand has also been incriminated as a cause of colic or diarrhea in adult horses. |
