| 英文描述 | Horses treated with vitamin K3 (menadione sodium bisulfate) at the manufacturer's recommended dose of 2.2-11 mg/kg have developed renal disease with tubular dilatation, epithelial degeneration and necrosis of the kidney. Has been reproduced, with clinical signs seen within 6-48 hours. The renal pain seen can resemble gastrointestinal colic. BUN and creatinine elevated. Laminitis, vasculitis, disseminated intravascular coagulation and bleeding from injection sites can be sequelae. Dx by history and evidence of renal failure. Horses which survive may develop chronic renal failure. |
