| 英文描述 | In a series of horses studied at necropsy thickening of the distal portion of the esophagus mainly involving the circular layer of the tunica muscularis without fibrosis or inflammation was observed, sometimes in association with hypertrophy of other parts of the intestinal tract. In almost all cases this was an incidental finding but in rare instances there were associated signs of esophageal dysfunction. This might be a cause of equine swallowing problems. |
