| 英文描述 | Pericarditis rare. May be due to infection, neoplasia, extension of pleuritis, or secondary to trauma. Cause cannot be determined in some cases, and idiopathic aseptic pericarditis appears to be a common cause of pericardial effusion with tamponade in the horse. Decreased amplitude on ECG and tap may aid in dx. Blood work consistent with acute or chronic infection; common findings include anemia, leukocytosis, high fibrinogen and creatinine concentrations, hyponatremia, hyperkalemia, and high central venous pressure. |
