Although they vary greatly in appearance, they usually progress from a temporal or dorsal limbic, bulbar conjunctival location adjacent to the cornea. Possible sequela include edema, fluffy infiltrates, vascularization, granulation tissue, and chronic keratitis with secondary metabolic deposits or pigmentation.' Dx by finding eosinophilic inflammation and numerous microfilaria on conjunctival and corneal biopsies. |
