| 英文描述 | Cholesterinic granulomas are common in the choroid plexus of old horses. They are characterized by cholesterol crystals in a bed of granulation tissue without any epithelial elements. Most do not cause signs, but they can grow large enough to cause problems due to compression of nervous tissue, often in the lateral ventricle. Cerebrospinal fluid might be xanthochromic with an elevated protein. |
