| 英文描述 | A horse developed clinical signs due to hypocalcemia. The signs responded to intravenous or long-term oral calcium administration. Assays for parathyroid hormone (PTH) showed undetectable or normal PTH levels despite ionized calcium levels in blood far below normal (Couetil et al.). A diagnosis of primary hypoparathyroidism was made, although it was not definitively confirmed (Couetil et al.). |
