| 英文描述 | A syndrome of colic due to enteritis of the duodenum, proximal jejunum, and occasionally the ileum, cecum and colon has been described in horses and is known as proximal enteritis, anterior enteritis, or duodenitis-proximal enteritis. Bowel is discolored and thickened with multiple areas of hemorrhage, congestion and necrosis. On passage of a stomach tube 1-5 gallons of fetid reddish-orange fluid might be passed. There can be leukocytosis with a left shift and high peritoneal fluid protein concentration. The cause is unknown but this syndrome has been classified as an adynamic ileus. Laminitis and peritonitis might occur as complications; cardiac arrhythmias can also accompany this disease. |
