| 中文描述 | 馬匹的多醣體貯存肌病，其特徵是肝醣、多醣體和Ⅱ型糖解肌纖維的堆積。在許多品種或拖車的馬匹，皆有此病例，成馬、小馬皆有。所表現出的症狀不同，從肌肉萎縮、像運動神經問題的虛弱，到平滑肌溶解症，到突然的不能站立。可能有腹部的疼痛。診斷：藉肌肉切片檢查來確診。 |
| 英文描述 | Equine polysaccharide storage myopathy is characterized by the accumulation of glycogen and complex polysaccharide within Type 2 glycolytic muscle fibers. This has been described in many breeds of light and draft horses, both adults and foals. Presenting signs vary from muscle atrophy and weakness mimicking equine motor neuron disease, to exertional rhabdomyolysis, to acute onset of recumbency. Signs of apparent abdominal pain can be present. Diagnosis is confirmed by muscle biopsy. |
